Matthew went to the first State of Origin game tonight, played in QLD and of course QLD won π 24-20. Not an Origin fan myself, as I am not a fan of League myself, but I do like seeing everyone dressing up and the rivalry between NSW and QLD fans.
Minute by Minute at Fox Sports, In fact I am sitting here in a Wallbies jersey π
Explored fill flash today, both on the walk home in the park, in this photo here of Matthew before he went off to the game. Really like it, going to have to play some more with it for sure.
This is my utter most favourite song at the moment, much more meaningful than that ‘I hope you dance’ song (if you are a scrapbooker you might know what I mean).
I had only until recently heard the Bruce Springsteen version and did not “hear” the lyrics, on my quest for new Meat Loaf I saw he did a version, had to get that and then I got the original too. One happy girl π
Going shopping/socialising at Scrap That later today since they have a 35% off sale today π not that I have much money but I do need to get some supplies for a couple of projects I am working on. Sean’s family is hosting a trivia night tonight, can’t wait for that, going to be a blast, hanging out with Emma (Sean has netball games for the most part tonight), drinking, eating, having fun. Then tomorrow is Cricket, will the Giant Killers continue their winning streak and out bat and out bowl “Have A go”? Cricket is always good for me, I take along my uni work and get a lot of reading done – in this case my reading is research on my current assignment “Changing values in Thai society”. The best part of the weekend? I get to have the silver bullet for the whole weekend!
Forever Young
Bob Dylan (covered by many, Meat Loaf does the best cover)
May God bless and keep you always,
May your wishes all come true,
May you always do for others
And let others do for you.
May you build a ladder to the stars
And climb on every rung,
May you stay forever young,
Forever young, forever young,
May you stay forever young.
May you grow up to be righteous,
May you grow up to be true,
May you always know the truth
And see the lights surrounding you.
May you always be courageous,
Stand upright and be strong,
May you stay forever young,
Forever young, forever young,
May you stay forever young.
May your hands always be busy,
May your feet always be swift,
May you have a strong foundation
When the winds of changes shift.
May your heart always be joyful,
May your song always be sung,
May you stay forever young,
Forever young, forever young,
May you stay forever young.
This evening, Pabbi, Matthew and I visited Grandad at the hospital. I took along this layout, to stick up on his wall. He is doing well I think. It was fun spending time with him, doing the trivia and word meaning questions in the latest digest. He might go home on Saturday, or it might be longer just a case of waiting and seeing. He seems no different from what I am used to, very much ready to go home though π
After visiting Grandad, I popped over to Sean’s place since it is 5 mins down the road, shortly after my arriving I was greeted by someone who has watched way too much Girl Fight and Million Dollar Baby ( both movies that I love though). You know who you are, and if I get a video clip of your "fighting" it is going up here π
From what I understand, there is nothing overly to be worried about him, just he is getting old. The black out is possibly due to any matter of things – low blood sugar levels, his bad cold he has and his medication. He was moved to Greenslopes yesterday to be monitored for 24hrs and then decide what to do from there. He is now going to stay at Greenslopes for a couple of more days so they can keep an eye on him.
"The professor" is quite interested in his case as he has had no damage caused from his black-out, he didn’t fall out of the chair during his sleep(which is so lucky, since his skin is so frail). Again from what I understand, a pacemaker may be the go soon.
Thanks for your support.
I don’t really know any details yet, Mum is meeting Julie at the Prince Charles in about 1hr, which is when we will find out more. All we know now is that he passed out at the dinner table last night and woke up there this morning at 6:30. He was able to shower and shave this morning but he a lot slower than normal at doing things, which is quite distressing to him as well as to us.
